On May 24 & 25, Rippowam I.B. Middle School will be participating in a school wide Diversity Celebration. The purpose of this 2 day event is to celebrate cultural diversity, learn about each other, and develop empathy for our differences. Students and staff will engage in fun activities specific to countries in North America, South America, Asia, Africa, and Europe.
May 25, as part of this celebration, we are asking students to bring in a hot or cold dish representing their family’s heritage. Please be sure to attach a label or index card including:
1. Name of dish and country it is from
2. List of ingredients used
Due to food allergies, please do not include any ingredients containing peanuts, tree nuts, or seafood
On May 25 we strongly encouraged our students and staff to wear traditional clothing/costumes from their family’s country of origin on . Students can also wear colors representative of their culture or country of origin's flag as well if they do not have access to traditional wear.
